BONUS sneak peek at Hating Jeremy Walters

Thanks for the likes and shares, folks! Here’s a paragraph from the first conversation between the hero and heroine, Jeremy and Natalie:

[Jeremy to Natalie] “You saw me drooling on the footpath.”

She blinked.

He offered a small smile. “Let’s start over. Hi.”

“Let’s not. Goodbye.” She spun toward the door.

“Is that my phone you’re holding?”

Natalie turned back.

He breathed a small sigh of relief. “What are you doing here, anyway?”

The phone flew his way. He fumbled it against his chest, one-handed.

She crossed her arms. “You still had me as your emergency contact, and I couldn’t reach Steph or Mike.” Her eyes flickered down. “I wasn’t sure about calling your dad.”

Natalie Groves was meant for great things. Preferably youth ministry with a side gig as an M&M connoisseur.

But half a year after her fiancé left, Natalie’s evangelist father was diagnosed with cancer. Her grand plans evaporated…and God has seemed disappointed ever since.

Six years later a church internship presents Natalie a chance at her destiny, but she needs a job to work around it. And the only offer is worse than a life sentence of tofu.

Six years ago, Jeremy ‘Jem’ Walters left Charlottesville, Virginia to escape his father, God, and heartbreak over Natalie.

Now he’s back in town, a committed Christian, and desperate for help with his infant son and troubled teenage niece.

When Natalie and Jem join forces, sparks fly. But will they be burned in the process?

Five Rom Coms to Watch This Weekend

DSC_0122

Yes, some of these are different to the ones in the list…consider them a bonus! 🙂 (and not the fact that when my sister moved out she took some of my favourites with her)

Pitch Perfect
Australia is proud to be represented by Fat Amy.
The Other Woman

Spit-your-drink-out-funny. Maybe not technically a rom com, it’s more about the women’s friendships and their hilarious revenge on Kate’s cheating husband. But the scene with the laxatives in his drink is one of my all-time favourites.

When In Rome

So it’s no high-brow work of art, but I just loved seeing the usually smooth Josh Duhamel be a klutz.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
Maybe not technically a rom com, but it’s both romantic and funny, as well as ridiculously stylish. How long did Henry Cavill have to practice that voice to make it so smooth?
Two Weeks’ Notice
My favourite Hugh Grant movie. Cute. Funny. Awkward as ever.

What will you be watching this week?
