Who’s your favourite female lead character of a book?

In books overall, I think Nikki Heat (who else loves Castle?!) is my favourite female lead. She’s strong, sharp, and kicks butt.
Then of course there’s Tris (Divergent), Hazel Grace Lancaster (The Fault in Our Stars), and the list could go on.

In the Christian rom coms and romances category, there’s a few stand-outs.
1. Cori, from Lisa Mackay’s awesome work, ‘My Hands Came Away Red’
2. Sallie McBride, from Jean Webster’s classic ‘Dear Enemy’ (also my all-time favourite book!)
3. A tie between Mandy Gray and Belle Tanner, both creations of Mary Connealy in ‘Sharpshooter in Petticoats’ and ‘The Husband Tree’.
